Landlord/Tenant Rights and Responsibilities Manual
The Housing Equality & Equity Institute is proud to offer our community this exhaustive manual on rights and responsibilities concerning renting housing throughout Lancaster. Neutrally written, this manual is affectionately known as ‘The Purple Book’ and is intended to help guide landlords and tenants to positive relationships. In 2013, the Housing Equality & Equity Institute Center partnered with the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and the United States Department of Housing & Urban Development to produce the Tenant/Landlord Rights & Responsibilities Manual in the following five additional languages: Arabic, Burmese, Karin, Nepali and Vietnamese. To download a free copy of the manuals, simply click on the below links. To place an order for physical copies of the manuals, please contact the Housing Equality & Equity Institute at 717-291-9945, ext. 110 Adrian Garcia or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our community has come to rely on the Housing Equality & Equity Institute Center’s team of experts when questions arise relating to landlord/tenant relationships, equality in housing (fair housing), and ending homelessness. Whether one has questions about a rental application process, wants to clarify the process regarding return of a security deposit, or wishes to better understand how to comply with various governments’ requirements relating to the condition of rental housing, the Housing Equality & Equity Institute Center is just a telephone call. Individuals who do not find answers to their questions on LHOP’s website or in the Housing Equality & Equity Institute Center’s various materials, you are invited to call 717-291-9945, ext. 110 Adrian Garcia. The Housing Equality & Equity Institute Center makes every effort to return all calls within one business day.
