Technical Assistance

LHOP Promotes a Wide Variety of Affordable Housing Solutions

LHOP is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization and a certified Community Development Financial Institution focused on making renting or owning homes more affordable to low and moderate income people of Lancaster County. Through its programs and partnerships, LHOP educates, advocates, and coordinates local solutions to the county’s growing need for affordable housing.

We help create the conditions for new affordable housing by serving as the resource center for technical and financial assistance to builders and developers. LHOP’s Housing Development Support Initiatives help enable the new construction and renovation of needed affordable rental and for-sale housing throughout Lancaster County.

Working with builders, developers (for profit and not-for-profit) and municipalities, LHOP assistance has made possible the construction and/or preservation of more than 675 affordable homes.
